Industrial acetylene supplied in K-size steel cylinders (CGA 300 valve) at 2000 PSI, for oxy-acetylene welding, cutting and brazing.
Acetylene is dissolved in acetone within a porous mass inside the cylinder for safe storage, which is why it is handled and withdrawn differently from other compressed gases.
Applications: Oxy-fuel welding, flame cutting and brazing of ferrous metals, metal fabrication, and general workshop and site welding.
Handling & Safety: Acetylene is highly flammable and must always be stored and used in an upright position. Do not exceed the safe maximum withdrawal rate of the cylinder, use flashback arrestors on both oxygen and fuel lines, and keep cylinders away from heat sources and open flame.
