Heliox is a breathing gas blend of helium and oxygen, mixed to a specified ratio for commercial and technical diving applications. Replacing the nitrogen in air with helium reduces the risk of nitrogen narcosis and helps manage decompression requirements on deep and saturation dives.
Mixes are blended to the diving contractor or operator's specified He/O2 ratio and filled into cylinder racks in a range of sizes and fill pressures to suit commercial diving, saturation diving support, and hyperbaric operations.
Handling & Safety: Heliox is intended for use by trained and certified diving personnel only. Every cylinder should be analyzed and clearly labeled with its actual oxygen fraction before use, and handled in accordance with commercial diving and hyperbaric safety standards.
