Opteon™ XP10 R513A

Opteon™ XP10 (R-513A) is a non-ozone-depleting, low-GWP hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based refrigerant blend developed as a next-generation replacement for R-134a. It is an azeotropic blend with zero temperature glide, offering a close capacity and efficiency match to R-134a in both new and retrofitted systems.

ASHRAE Designation: R-513A — ASHRAE Safety Classification: A1 (nonflammable, lower toxicity)

Typical Applications

• Medium-temperature commercial and industrial direct-expansion (DX) refrigeration
• Water chillers, air conditioning, and heat pumps (including centrifugal and DX chillers)
• Ice rink systems and hybrid cascade system medium-temperature circuits

Environmental & Handling Notes
Opteon™ XP10 offers a GWP roughly 56% lower than R-134a while remaining compatible with existing R-134a equipment designs and oils. It is nonflammable (A1) and considered a straightforward drop-in for many R-134a systems.
